More Bahamas

On the same convention at the Bahamas I was walking with three or so other managers thru the casino, mainly people-watching. As they were opening the new hotel there were lots of well-off folks and a fer celebs there. After 12:00 our time was our own there (those were the days!) So we were just checking things out and talking about how you could "feel and smell" the money in the room. I tell you that is so true, just by watching the $50 min craps game going.

One guy I was with was a former jeweler. He says how expensive the jewelry on some people is. Then he points out one guy and says, "WOW, that band on the watch is $50K alone! Those are diamonds!"

We all look, and another guy I am with sees who this person is!

Now, the funny part of it is the guy was from Pakistan and had a "halting" way of speaking that people from that part of the world have when they learn english.

He says, Wait-a-minute! Know-who-that-is? Thats (expletive-ing) LARRY FLYNT! Look, he's in a gold wheelchair!"

It was him, later saw his budyguards in "Hustler" tee-shirts. The stack of chips he had were $5K chips and most people could not have a stack of "silvers" that big.

I suppose there was no "high-roller" room or maybe Larry wanted to just be near the action. I will say he looks much smaller in person than if you see him on camera.
